Solving mysteries using maths reasoning and problem-solving skills!

Key stage 2 pupils have been having fun during Maths lessons. They have been solving mysteries focusing on areas of reasoning and problem solving.

Students got to discuss the problem posed in the mystery as a class and find possible strategies for reaching a solution. They also got the opportunity to solve the maths problem individually and in small groups. Once the students found a possible solution, they got to discuss their strategy to reinforce the problem-solving skills they used.
