Our Home-Schooled pupils create zippered and lined fabric pencil cases!
Our home-schooled pupils have been extending their learning by practising different embroidery techniques during their design and textile lessons.
They were asked to choose one technique and demonstrate the skill that they had learnt on printed fabric. This followed on to some of our students turning the fabric and textile work into pouches and pencil cases.
Students followed the design process to sew a pencil case. This task was a creative challenge for the beginner sewers. The process included adding a zipper, designing a pocket pattern and sewing it on to the pencil case.
